t.v. cable adjusted properly, spool valve works, and governer is fine but when applying throttle car will not downshift. converter will unlock but no downshift. when slowing to a stop trans downshifts though slightly delayed. trans wasn’t overheated and has less than 8000 miles.
I think it might be a stuck downshift valve. Check out this long discussion about it and see if you can find anything that helps you. Good Luck
Could be the shift solenoid or the speed sensors chech them is also possible the sence it sat for so long that the filter is just pluged up
Matt, Please let me know what you find out, I have the same trouble, It worked great for a day or so them stopped all down shifting from giving it gas. It will down shift when coming to a stop and no matter the length you set the (TV) it will still not down shift.
Matt, thanks for the info, I checked for that same issue but the valve was not stuck,removed the 1-2 sevo and rebuilt it and it looked good before I rebuilt it, governor also looks good,now I’m on to the 3-4 sevo, I’ll let you know what’s up after I put it back together.????
