Chosen Solution
So, a few days ago i found my old 3ds that i haven’t used in about a year. When i pressed the power button initially, the screen lit up and the 3ds turned on. But the battery was low so I turned it back off and put it on the charger, and it seemed to charge fine. The orange light came on and everything. Since then, I haven’t been able to turn it on at all. I’ve pressed the power button in pretty much every way possible but nothing ever seems to work. I tried some steps i saw on the internet but they all failed to solve the problem. Does anyone know what might be the cause?
You may need a new battery. Batteries tend to wear over time, that could be the problem. You could also try removing the battery and with the battery out, hold the power button for 10 seconds, put the battery back in and check.
