My ninja blender 1100 won’t turn on at all please help me fix it.I checked everything except for the engine.I put the cup in and the light won’t turn on.
The Ninja blender is picky. Make sure the lid is on with the spout directly opposite from the handle. And if the lid is not locked down completely, the power button will flash red and not start. ALSO… make sure the pitcher of the blender is on the base correctly. It will fit onto the base in any position, but if it is very difficult to rotate the pitcher into a locked position, it is not on correctly. The pitcher should rotate on the base with very little effort.
I just slammed it really hard and it’s fixed
I’m having similar problems with Auto IQ blender. I determined that the two micro switches that are supposed to close when the container is twisted into place aren’t working. When they don’t close correctly the display shows two dashes. When they are closing correctly the display shows a zero and the unit will start once you select a program. When first I noticed it, the problem would resolve after removing the container and reinstalling. Lately I have to reinstall the container several times before it will work. You can see the switches if you look in the locking grooves on the top of the unit. This is where the little tabs on the blending top get seated when the container is twisted into place. I’m going to try some contact cleaner. Was going to take the unit apart but I don’t have a small enough screwdriver.
Maybe you press the power button too much. Just 1 small tap and a 1- minute wait will work.
wow. all this time. and I just figured it out. First, you select blend or ultra blend…wait a bit until 0 comes up on screen than hit start! I have been racking my brain all this time thinking it just didn’t work!!! lol
did you try to change the fuse?
The Ninja professional 1100 watts blender has some safety features that will not allow it to start if things are not aligned as intended. Problem: The power light will flash when pressed and the blender will not start with the large container but will start with the small serving containers. Solution: The large blender container and lid must be in the correct orientations. 1- place the lid spout in the opposite corner of the container handle. (There is a little cut out in the lip around the lid that sticks out over the handle a little bit.) 2- close the handle on the lid. (The lid handle has a pin that reaches thru the little cut out and presses a pin inside the handle.) 3- place the container on the base with the handle on the front right or front left corner and lock in place. It should rotate easily. (The pin inside the handle sticks out the bottom a little bit and releases a safety switch in the base.)
I’ve been having the same problem getting the container to engage the base. I ordered a new base under warranty today. They don’t require that you return the base, but they did charge me $21 for shipping, so they make a little profit in the process.
My ninja bullet suffered from the same problem. The safety mechanism was slowly failing. I fixed it by applying some thick 3M tape to the switches inside, but you could probably also just bend the contacts with a pliers. I found the ninja bullet is designed to be pretty easy to service and took about 20 min. Blender is working great now!
