PTO will not turn blades off, blade will stop after shutting mower off. Is there another piece in this system that needs replacement or adjusting?
@chipfish, Chip, It sounds like either a faulty switch(unplug and test switch for no continuity when off) or the PTO clutch itself is sticking(bad bearing possibly), unplug the wire on the PTO clutch, with the spark plugs disconnected have an assistant turn over the engine while you look at the belt on the PTO, If belt is spinning or trying to spin the PTO clutch is faulty.
