my jam classic bluetooth speaker switches off if not pugged into the mains.why is that?

Hi, Does it show that the battery is charging when you connect the charger? If it does but still does not work when connected only on the battery then it seems as though the battery is failing to hold its’ charge. Even rechargeable batteries have a life span. Here is a link to the Ifixit guide on how to remove the battery. HMDX Jam Battery Replacement Here are the battery specifications (Voltix Battery Pack - Li-Ion, 1-Cell, 3.7V, 500mAh, w/ Charge Protection Circuit & Discrete Insulated Lead Wires) If you wish to replace the battery unfortunately I cannot locate an exact brand replacement. I have found one with the same electrical specifications and safeguards BUT I am unsure if it will physically fit into the speaker. The dimensions of the battery is 6mm x 25mm x 35mm as the code on the battery says 602535. There may be a code on the battery in the speaker which will give the size of it or you can simply measure it to see if this one will fit. Here is a link to the supplier. You do not have to use this supplier but if you can find a similar battery ensure that it states that it has charge protection circuitry built into the battery pack http://core-electronics.com.au/polymer-l… Hopefully this is of some help.
