Hello, this is my first question on this website, first of all I am verry glad that we “phone technicians” we can find this awesome place to change our experience and to improve it as well. So now back with my question… I got an iPhone 7 after a screen replacement(in another shop) and I am just wondering what could be the reason for not working the microphone, ear speaker and speaker, all in the same time, the button is also off when I make a call… I have already replaced the ear speaker but no effect, I also analyze the flex cable and looks ok. Some hints from better technicians? Best Regards, Razvan
Do you know if the replacement screen was the only reason it went to another shop first? The iPhone 7 series of devices suffers from issues with the Audio IC and weak traces on the pcb which crack and break. It is a similar design flaw to the iPhone 6 Plus, known as Touch Disease. On the iPhone 7 series, the weak traces are underneath the Audio IC. The microphones and speakers are all controlled by the Audio IC at one level or another so it is possible that this could be the root cause. Do you know if this phone has been dropped or flexed a lot?
