when I engage the mower deck it will not turn the blade is this because the belt needs replace
BK. there can be a few things for blades on a riding mower to not turn, broken deck clutch cable, broken/worn belt, belt has slipped off pulley, seized pivot arm, belt not routed properly, if blades are electric clutch driven, could be a fuse, bad wire broken/connection, faulty clutch, faulty engage switch,faulty battery, etc. You may want to have a good small engine tech. have a look, diagnose and estimate repair.
