I have been trying to figure what went wrong with our microwave, it shows no power in display. I already checked the fuse, thermostat, door latches, magnetron etc. They all are working fine. When the power is turned on, I notice a little spark on the control board and the display flickers. What could have possibly gone wrong?
Sparking microwave bodes ill will. It is dangerous, means you have an electrical short that could cause a fire. I would either replace the whole thing if it is a cheap stand alone or give us the make and model number so we can find a replacement control panel part. Meanwhile I would not try to use it. In fact just disconnect the power until it is fixed.
