Hi, I would like to ask you something. I have a Fujifilm Finepix F550EXR (it has the same LCD like the F505EXR). When I start the camera in Firmware update mode the LCD lights up, I can see the current firmware version (I even made a firmware update from version 1.13 to 1.14, but it didn’t helped to solve this issue). When I start it in normal mode the LCD screen is black, the menus are working, the flash pops up, the lenses come out, I can take pictures, so everything working except the LCD. If the LCD display is working in Firmware update mode it means the LCD is OK, it doesn’t need to be changed. What could be the problem? Thank you very much for any answer. Have a very nice day.

Hi @mister83 , You say that you can take pictures. Does this mean that you can download and view the pictures OK on a computer or even that you can view them later on the LCD? (I realize that you cannot ‘see’ them, when actually taking the picture) If you cannot view the ‘saved’ pictures OK and have just a black image, then there may be a problem with the camera’s CMOS sensor. If you can view the ‘saved’ pictures OK then there may be a motherboard problem of not switching the “image” through to the LCD screen
