My samsung galaxy J5 has a problem with wifi. My connection is 30 Mbps. But i am getting only 4 Mbps on the device(speedtested). All other wireless devices are working fine on 2.4ghz but only the J5 has this problem. I wiped cache partition and also reset the device couple of times. I have tried changing router channels and resetting the router also. My router is tplink archer c60 ac 1350Mbps dual band. The J5 only supports 2.4 ghz band.
I also have the same problem with my tp-link archer C7. I too can only reach 4 Mbps with my J5 (2016). I don’t know how to solve this problem, so I have installed my old router dlink dir-655 again. With that router I reach 37 Mbps. I have a 100/10 Mbps connection. Could it be a tp-link archer problem? Anyway, I will use my tp-link archer C7 later, when I buy a new smartphone which will be an ac-smartphone.
We recently got a new VM router and I’ve been having the same problem with my SM-J500FN (2015): Not exceeding download speeds more than 4 Mbps. Nothing seemed to change the speed. Wipe cache partition only solved it just for about a minute. Keeping the phone in flight mode with Wi-Fi on does solve this problem but you won’t be able to take/make any calls. Fiddling around with the phone, I decided to turn Android Beam off to see if that would change anything. After that I did a speed test and got a stable 56 Mbps. This seemed to do the trick for me. It hasn’t dropped back to 4 mbps since. I did the same thing on my gf’s J5 (same model, same problem) and it fixed it as well. Go to: Settings 》 NYC and payment 》 Android Beam Now, if NYC is turned off turn it on just to switch Android Beam off. I don’t know what makes Android Beam interfere with Wi-Fi reception on the J5 but someone might be able to explain. Not sure but this may help with the J5 (2016) too. It’s worth a try.
My samsung tab 3 was getting 4mb with my labtop getting 27mb. I disabled the “location” option in the tab 3 and speed went to 17 mb.
I am using samsung galaxy tab A8, I am also facing same issue. getting fast net if i connect to my mobile net but if i connect to my 50mbps WiFi, it not even opening web page ,it is very slow and also changed internet provider but same issue new inter net provider. i have reset app so many times still facing same issue. if turned off and ON airplane mode still same issue no progress. can any one help me to fix this issue.
