peggy.woods.dst, Ensure battery is fully charged, if not charging battery or charger could be defective. The first link below has a tutorial on resetting the laptop when not powering up. You can also try removing the battery(2nd link can get you inside) and leaving it out for an hour, then reinstall battery and try. Good luck.
