Hello, My girlfriend bought an iphone 5c but we realize that it has a really annoying problem : the time on the phone is changing regularly. Most of the time the date is right, but from one second to another it can be several hours late of early. We tried to reset it and to change the battery and tried to switch on and off the automatic time setting, but the problem is still the same : the phone is never on time.

Very odd… Your phone uses the cellular network to check its time from time to time, unless you can’t connect, in which case if you have a WiFi connect it will leverage the internet time service, then lastly it will use the phones internal clock for its time. What can also happen is your location were you are is near a time zone border, so the iPhone is confused on which TZ you are really in based on the physical location.

I have the same ussue with my Phone 5C.

  • Date & Time dont work & reboot Problem.
  • Bluetooth dont work First i changed Y2 than the clock start to work but when the Phone is in sleep mode or Off than the clock dont work. If the Phone is unlocked the clock work. By the way the Y2 component is the same for iPhone 5/5C/5S. In my case I took it from iPhone 5 faulty mainboard. The next step i reball U7 especially in the area near C255 underneath left side corner from U7 and now every thing is working fine. Mise à jour (02/10/2016) to change the crystal oscillator Y2 32.768K is relatively an easy task but to reball U7 is more difficult and you need a professional technician. good luck guys !!!

I had the same exact issue the problem was that my antenna cable was disconnected because the time was messed up and i had to connect to wifi to use the internet

Had a customer with the same problem opened up phone and the very top of the motherboard had broken right were the grounding clip screws in someone sayed this was the cellular antenna

All I know is the iPhone 5s/5c are junk I hade an iPhone 4s there was nothing ever rong with it. As soon as I switched to the iPhone 5s the Clock/Gps/Bluetooth/HotSpot/ all that stuff never works. Can only use portrait screen, sometimes the screen just flips black and that comes back on. If anyone is rating the iPhone 5s rate it 0000000 zero zero!!!!!!!! The iPhone 6s Plus is a rate level from 1 to 10. It’s a 10 anyone else think so???

Im Raimir, i have my iphone 5c . my phone keep dropping wifi and time messed up . sometimes the time will be correct than it messes up again. and wifi still keep dropping i cant have a stable connection annywhere unless i have data on my phone. -.- helppppppp. i think of changing my wifi antenna in the phone to a new one . but before that i want to make sure its a good idea. hellpp

Hi, i Replaced this crystal and all worked well for about 2 weeks, now its starting to play up again, it works but wrong times, if its crystal again, what could be causing this to fail again so soon? The U7? do I need to replace this chip or just reball it? Anyone have more info?

I think most people with iphone 5/5c/5s are going through the problem of unstable wifi, no bluetooth, messed up clocks and the gps. No one has given/can find a legitimate answer. For the time being, change the clock manually and never lock your screen (auto lock on never) because the clock freezes when its on the lock screen and works on the home screen. And for the wifi, i guess you’d have to be quite patient because my iphone 5c connects than a minute later disconnects so you constantly need to connect to the wifi. UGH SOME APPLE GOD PLEASE COME DOWN AND HELP US THROUGH THIS NIGHTMARE WITHOUT SPENDING MONEY ON A NEW PHONE!!! :(:(:(:( hope this kinda helps
