Solved Why My Camera Not Recording Images Onto Media Card Nikon D300

Hi, I have recently purchased a secondhand Body, the Camera Works as such but it will not record the images, it stays on the image count the same. is it the Settings, the Lens or the Compact Flash Card?

Does the camera format the Compact Flash Card? If not replace the card.
