My laptop only turn on when l remove the LCD connector from motherboard and it display to the second monitor nicely. What can be the problem?
If you are positive that the connector is connect correctly then you have a defective laptop screen which is shorting out the entire sytem so scrren must be replaced as so: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbkFwlrH… or https://support.lenovo.com/nz/en/solutio… Make sure that the connector is attached firmly to the system board when installing. The other possiblity is the BIOS needs to be reset but disconnecting the CMOS battery: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/videos/… This is unlikely though as it works fine with the internal screen disconnected and connected to external monitor.
