My ipod isnt turning on and i tried charging it stilll wont turn on
I does sound to me like you need a new battery. You can try to charge your ipod on an AC charger and see if it will charge, but ultimately I would change the battery. Not a difficult task and not very expensive. after that you can re-evaluate. Start with the battery, be careful when you open the clip for the battery cable, pull straight up. I prefer a small paperclip bend into an L_Shape and pull gently. The connector has a bad tendency of snapping of the logic board. If after you change the battery, it should still not come on, check the dock connector for any bend, corroded or missing pins, Clean the dock connector with some isoproplyl alcohol and a toothpick (gentle!!) use a magnifying source to make sure you are not going to bend or break any pins. Hope this helps good luck. iPod 5th Generation (Video) Battery Replacement
