i have an imac that wont turn on. was using it one night when it started to make a strange sound, i shut it down, and could not get it to start up, took it to a repair shop who tried to diag it. replaced the motherboard, cpu, psu. and still cant get it to power. even tried to swapp out the power connector. same problem, no leds light up, psu works for sure, “tested it in another imac”, they even thought the power switch may have caused the problem, so they jumped the power pins. still no sign of life. any ideas on what the problem could be?
If you’ve replaced everything else all that’s left are the cables that move the power around to the board . the power unit for this machine has plug ins and the cables stay with the machine you may want to test the cables. Hope this helps
