New pulley but it still bouncing around then it sounds like something is vibrating loose or tearing up. So I raise deck and stop blades. But I tightened up everything I could and put new belt on it too cause I thought belt was just too loose. Just can’t figure out why or if a certain amount of bounce is normal?
@mz_n_dependent1, Cindy , A little bounce in belt could be normal, but when you say “it sounds like something is vibrating loose or tearing up”, this is neither normal or good! Stop using the mower until you can have it checked out as more damage to mower or others could happen. Recheck belt is correctly routed and that the spring for tensioner reinstalled correctly. The blades could be damaged/loose,something tangled up in blades under deck, the blade spindle bearing could be worn out or broke, broken bracketing on the deck, seized pulley bearing etc., have it checked out by a good local small equipment shop. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.
I believe that is probably normal. If the mower seems to run fine with no issues, its normal but if it doesn’t and has issues which you didn’t mention above, it might be that.
If you you Have bouncing this is not normal and is either an idler pulley or the actual arm the holds the pulley bearings going bad. Watch this video for help on replacing. you can check the pulley itself by spinning it if loud or loose its time to replace https://youtu.be/nfwoVBYhqg0 https://youtu.be/nfwoVBYhqg0
