the bottom half of my sceen is darker than the top.

There could be two reasons for this: 1.       Faulty screen. 2.       Faulty component on logic board backlight circuit. Rule out parts first by replacing the screen.

In the case of the iPhone 6 case that is the problem of faulty LCD.
