I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro mk16i. Once it was dropped by me and since then the screen doesn’t waked up. I went to a repair shop and they told the phone is on, may be the sheet has cut. Then I used the hdmi cable came with my phone, connected it with a television and yes the screen was there at my television screen. When I touched the phone screen it was working, and I got to know that display only is not coming. Now my question is what is the reason, and what is to be replaced? How much cost and time it will take? I am from India.
aksstorm89, either your LCD ribbon cable got disconnected or your broke the LCD. You will have to disassemble your phone and take a look at the LCD ribbon cable. Make sure it is properly connected. If it is, replace the LCD. Cost for that is anywhere around $50 and looks like about an hour of your time. Hope this helps, good luck.
hey askstorm89, how long after u bought the phone did this issue come in? My Xperia Pro’s display has exactly the same problem :( My phone is 2 years and 1 month old. And, did u get it fixed? How much did it cost u?
the only thing what working in mines is just screen brightness but no text since it fell down
Hi xperia pro starts up with blank screen Answer:change its flex cable buy it from aliexpress.
I also have same problem after I dropped my phone, I changed both flex cable and display but but still the display not working but whole the phone and touchscreen works as I can receive call by sliding,the phone switch also works well. Pls help
