so i recently bought this iphone off mercari and its not letting me update my phone. everytime I put my phone into recovery mode it connects to ittunes. i hit update and while its extracting software which is like a 15-30 minute process my phone turns off. i really need a phone right now, I have work. it says error code 9 on my computer. any suggestions or tips will help!!:)
This could be a NAND, EEPROM or CPU problem. If your data has not been backed up and you need it I would suggest sending it to a reputable repairer. If the data on it is not important you can try a restore instead of an update. If it fails on the restore it will likely be one of the above mentioned components that’s developed a fault and will need to be looked at by a reputable repairer.
