Hello I recently replaced the entire LCD with the metal rear plate as the home button wire needed repair as well. After this repair, the screen doesn’t work when affixed back on the phone, it only works when it’s separated from it, just sitting on top. What could this be? All the lines are absolutely attached.
If it works while sitting on top of the phone but doesn’t work when pressed into place it sounds like flex cables have been damaged or are faulty
I would go with faulty / damaged LCD screen cables or screen just being faulty. I wonder if this still occurs with the home button cable unplugged?
