Originally, my Samsung UN55J620DAFXZA suffered a meltdown where we began hearing a cracking at its rear and a smell of burnt wire. I thought it may be a problem between the PS and LED lights. After opening her up I discovered about 6 blown LEDs scattered. PS was not producing voltage to the light strip wires. So I ordered a New set of back lights from Shopjimmy and a used PS. Long story short, installed back lights and used PS, No Good! No power whatsoever. I put back original PS and Boom, red standby light came on, T-con board lit blue, red light on main logic board came on And, LED back lights worked great. I put everything back and hooked Tv for viewing. Nice and brighter picture, but I noticed the picture thru out the channels, are no longer crisp clear like before. This Tv isn’t 4K, but sure looked it. Aside from this Tv being 7yrs old, I don’t know what cause the meltdown in the first place.. Does anyone know if it now needs tweaking, or is there a problem with main board or what. .?? I must say, I do not like it.. .

@jpbravo7 it is not caused by replacing the backlight strips. It really just provides the light. Something that can change the image would be related to either LVDS wires or T-con board and in rare cases the driver board. Check the cables and connectors carefully. If you had to remove any of the reflector sheets etc. make sure the way placed back into the right order and orientation. BTW your PSU showed less voltages due to the backlight not turning on. Normal behaviour as well.

Hi @jpbravo7, Does adjusting the picture settings do anything to improve the picture, you never said? Go to Menu > Picture > Picture mode and select the various options after that. Different power board and new LEDs may provide a different picture to what you were used to with failing LEDs and possibly failing original power board
