1997 chevy cavalier z24–2.4engine i was driving for a week with the little battery symbol drawing flashing in red and after the battery was completely discharged. Update a red icon came up on my dash board it is a box with water and an arrow pointing down what does this mean
Check the belt on your alternator. Check the cables from the alternator. Use a multimeter to test the alternator.
1: If your battery light is on while the engine is running, your Alternator is not producing any charging power. Check the cable connections or have the alternator checked. It may need replacement. 2: That icon means you should check your coolant, because it is running low.
make sure your battery cables are clean and tight. check with 8mm wrench
I have put a new altanater on it and it does not charge
I put a new alternator, starter, and battery. the car is still not charging. not sure what the reason is
