Chosen Solution
I replaced my charging port and speaker on my phone and before this my Taptic Engine was working perfectly. I put everything back and when I turned it on it made such a loud buzzing noise I thought I broke something. Turns out it was the Taptic Engine, I looked up how to fix this issue and everybody said to tighten the screws, so I did. This did not fix the issue, so I bought a new Taptic Engine and the same problem occurred, same buzzing noise. It’s been about 3 months and I just now saw that it could be the charging port at fault due to a short or something. I have the original charging port so I will be checking my other charging port to see if the vibration works on that one but I want to know if buying a new charging port will fix the issue. Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?
@danj btw I had the original charging port that came with the phone so I plugged it on to the motherboard connected the spare vibration motor I got to replace the one I had and it was working like a charm, at this point I know its the charging port flex so im going to order one up soon.
