I already have the same question about this taptic. I also done reading the fix for taptic. I already tightened the screw of the taptic engine but i failed to remove that rattle sound. When i pressing my home button the vibrate was good, but when i turn my phone to silent mode using the silent switch to the left side, i got that rattle sound and when I receiving a call. I already test the vibrate on ringtone on setting and it’s rattle again. So can you help me for this repair? Thanks in advance.
Taptic engine failures are pretty rare but the obvious thing to try, now that you have secured the screws, is to install a replacement taptic engine. It may not solve your problem but it will go a long way in helping troubleshoot the issue.
