It looks rectangular and changing color when I was browsing the internet.
It is possible you have a loose LCD cable or a faulty LCD. Or, I could even be the video card. Try connecting it to a TV and seeing if it does the same thing. If it does, the video may be bad. Otherwise, try opening it up and reseating the LCD cable. If that does not work, the LCD may be broken.
