The printer is stuck on the HP logo and the blue buffering bar. It isn’t getting past it and I’m so disappointed because I need to use it for scanning. It’s a great scanner! Please help me in resetting the printer hardware or whatever it needs!!

Your printer needs a firmware update. You can download it directly from HP website. http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/self

how do you update the firmware if the printer will not completely power on??

I talked to HP Support today. I probably spent on hour with them without results. In the end they told me that it was a hardware issue and that I would need to buy a new printer. The printer is only 2.5 years old.
