Dyson safety query thank you.
Hi, An overheating battery (gets very hot as opposed to one which just gets warm) is never a good sign and indicates that there is a problem with the charging circuit of the battery or the battery itself. Depending on the battery ’type’ (you don’t state the model number), if left on charge it could potentially cause a fire. Therefore I recommend that you do not attempt to charge it or leave it connected to a ’live’ power outlet. Is the unit ’new’? If so, I suggest that you verify the purchase date and then consult the warranty information in the documentation that came with the device to see if it is still within the manufacturer’s warranty period. If it is, then follow the directions contained in the warranty information as to what you have to do to make a claim for a warranty repair or replacement.
