Unless I have headphones in, the only way I can be heard is to have headphones in. Any kind of headphone makes it work, not just the ones with a Mic
Hi @treron , Can you hear OK on a call, using the phone’s ear receiver, without the headphones inserted? If you can, try starting the phone in safe mode and make or receive a call to see if the phone works normally, just to prove if it is a software problem or not. If it works OK in safe mode, then a downloaded app is the cause of the problem. The trick is to find out which one. You could try clearing the phone cache partition to see if this resolves the problem. If it still doesn’t work in safe mode does the headphone icon in the notification area of the screen stay on when you remove the headphones? If so it means that there is a problem with the contact (probably stuck) in the headphone socket that signals the audio controller to switch the audio from the phone to the headphones, when the headphones are inserted. Try gently moving the headphone jack from side to side when inserted and then in out out to see if icon disappears when the jack is totally removed. If this doesn’t work the phone will have to be opened and the headphone socket be replaced as it is not reparable. If none of the above work, as your phone seems to be a recently released model check if the manufacturer’s warranty is still valid and if so follow the directions of the warranty as to what to do to make a claim for a warranty repair or replacement.
