Just changed my battery a few days ago and it definitely lasts longer than the previous battery I’d had for over 3 years. However, coconut battery says it’s only at 76% capacity which is only a little better than what it said with my old battery. I know CoconutBattery is not precise but it does seem to be pretty accurate for my computer and iPad. I’d checked a couple of times with the new battery and it is consistently less than it should be.

There isn’t a precision issue with coconutBattery or any other utility that reports battery data. These tools aren’t interpreting anything, they are just reporting what the battery is telling them. So if you see 76% and your skeptical, try a different utility such as 3uTools (Windows) or iMazing (Mac) to see if they are consistent. As for such a low reading…batteries aren’t solid state devices, there more of a chemistry experiment :>). Not all batteries are created equal and I have even seen batteries that report greater than 100% capacity. You may have a bad battery or one that has been sitting on the shelf for a long time. Do a few full discharge/recharge cycles to see if it gets better or not. Otherwise, return it to the vendor.

I had the same issue . I would not rely on CoconutsBattery I had totally different results with iMazing and iOS utility. I have uninstalled Coconut Battery from my Mac too.
