Hello, I know there are many other questions about this but I want to double check that the Magsafe Board is the problem. I use my MacBook Air 45W charger and bought a MacBook Pro 13" Late 2011 secondhand. The charger works on my MacBook Air. I tried to reset the SMC and NVRAM. But also mesure the voltage in the magsafe board but no power at all. The MacBook wont turn on or charge. The charger light is off not green or orange and it do not deliver any power. I measured the amps from my outlet: When charger is disconnected from computer 0,005-0,007 AWhen charger is connected to MacBook Air Mid 2011 0,275 AWhen the charger is connected to MacBook Pro 0,007 A When I first opend it was pretty dirty. I cleaned it with alcohol and most of the dirt is gone but still some that I cant clean away. There is also a little bit of rust on the Logic Board. Can it be water damaged? I wonder where the problem is on the Magsafe board or logicboard?
Yes, your system at some point got quite wet as you do have a lot of corrosion all over. The MagSafe connector also looks bad as it should be shiny gold on the pins and the plastic looks like got overheated (need a new DC-In board assy). So you have your work cut out here first cleaning the board completely and then inspecting it for any damaged or missing components. Depending on how skilled you are this will take some time and will likely need a fair amount of parts and you may need to repair the logic board traces and soldering as well. If the rest of the system looks good you might try just getting a new logic board and DC-In board and hope the rest of the system is OK. That would be what I would do as a board this bad will cost you a lot to fix. I know not what you wanted to hear ;-{
