When am searching the web it doesn’t seem to feel hot, but when I start watching YouTube videos it starts to feel really hot on the top left side of the keyboard area. I really don’t know what the problem is, if its normal or a fan/cpu issue.

If we look inside your system we can see both the CPU and the fans heat sink fin area are just under your fingers ;-}

You may need to clean the dust and debris that has collected inside to improve the systems ability to move the heat out. I would start off getting a good thermal monitoring app like this one TG Pro. The next time your system gets to warm take a snapshot of TG Pro’s main screen so we can see all of the sensors. You may need to slide the window down to get the ones at the bottom. Post it here for us to see Adding images to an existing question Now after having a baseline, open the system following this guide MacBook Air 13" Early 2015 Fan Replacement using a small soft paint brush and a can of can’ed air carefully dust out your system and fan blades and make sure to fin area is also clean. If TG Pro showed the fan was bad then replace it.
