Chosen Solution

Hey there So I had some water spilled on my sister’s asus laptop. After telling her to quickly turn it off I opened it up and aired it for about a day, after reassembling it everything was working properly beside the keyboard. Some keys or even most of them are working just fine but other like 7 are pressing(not physically)on ‘y’ and ‘u’ as well. Could there be a solution or I just need another keyboard top if it’s even possible to disassemble just the keyboard

Have you tried an external Keyboard? I would do this to isolate the issue. If the external keyboard works fine, its almost certainly going to need a replacement keyboard. ASUS X502CA Palm Rest with Keyboard and Touch Pad Replacement Cant imagine any software causing the issue Best of luck

The keyboard has shorted out. Replace it. Here’s the part: https://www.any-pc-part.com/product_info… Here’s how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vo5GlyQT
