Brought a new battery still wont charge stays on 10% charger is good tried USB charging still nothing any help or point in the right direction would be much appreciated. Oh and I cant use buttons while connnected to Bluetooth but i can use buttons while using auxiliary when connected to charger dunno if that means anything?
The metal bar inside the charger hole in the box is bent upwards. This is a common issue. Unplug the mini power jack (the thing with the cord)Look inside the charger hole on the jambox and take a knife to bend the tab back towards the middle or even lower. Be careful when you replug the power into the socket. The socket tab and the mini plug MUST MEET . There are male and female parts that connect. Somehow on almost all jamboxes the little tab (male part) gets bent upwards, making the connection beteen the charging cord and the charging hole impossible. Just straigthen the tab inside the jambox’s mico power slot and you’ll be back and running. It may take a few tries and more bending but eventually you’ll get the right connection.
Sorry to say you likely need a new logic board as I suspect you plugged in a bad or wrong USB charger which damaged the charging logic. As far as the controls this could be related. The only problem here is Jawbone is out of business! So getting parts will be difficult! Maybe its time for a new speaker. I now have UE Boom speakers which I think offer even better fidelity than my old Jambox speakers!
If the USB port is damaged you don’t need a new logic board, you just need a new USB port soldered onto the board. Any good shop that deals with soldering electronics or mobile phones should be able to do it. I get alsorts to solder at work. Even down to buttons on car key boards.
