Hi there, yesterday my iPhone X started acting out when I plugged it into charge. My phone was on 1% so I went to charge it and it worked fine, until I left it and came back to it having only got up to 2%. I have tried restarting it and cleaning out the port (however not professionally). So I left it on charge while I was asleep and woke up this morning to it being on 2%. I unplugged it and it went to 3% and then decreased normally until it got to 1%. I am using it now not plugged in and have been for about 15 minutes, is there any way it has charged but the number hasn’t gone up? Thanks!
Yes, that may happen at times, power gauge doesn’t work properly because of a battery failure or a board failure. If you have used non original/certified cables or charged it with a car adapter chances of a board failure increase quite a bit. If you have a Mac or a PC available you can check battery condition with Coconut battery or 3Utools, both apps are quite accurate and can tell us more about battery status.
