I replaced the screen on my iPhone 7 Plus yesterday with the kit from iFixit. The screen looks great. The front camera works great. Taptic Engine and Touch ID still work. But now I’ll be scrolling through reddit or instagram and my screen will go black and reboot/restart. It never did that before.
I would re-install the original screen to see if it behaves the same way. If it does, then you may have damaged something on the logic board during your repair. Check the condition of the connectors and the components surrounding the connectors for any signs of damage. If the original screen doesn’t do this, then you may have a defective replacement screen, in which case you’ll want to contact iFixit support.
