My iphone got driven over by a car. I changed the screen and the battery. Phone turns on but it’s getting really hot right away when i connect the battery. It gets hot even when it’s turned off. It heats from the lcd connectors.
So heat is definitely not coming from the top of the screen? Sounds like the power management IC chip on the logic board got damaged when the phone got run over. For that to be fixed only a micro-solder can replace that chip.
