I have a phone that came back from a customer claiming no sound on calls. I verified that it was audio ic. I did the repair, but now it is not turning on and only charging at 0.6A. I’ve tried a new battery and charge port. It still won’t turn on or charge past 0.6A. I’ve left it on the charger long enough for it to show that it’s charging, but it never turns on or shows that it’s charging. Can anyone help?
You will need to remove the audio IC .06A would point to a VDD_BOOST problem most likely under the audio IC. I have had a few of these returned and that has been the problem. I have put it down to faulty IC chips as it was the same batch of IC’s that were involved.
