Chosen Solution
I have left my iPhone 5s in a draw for over a year and I went to use it today. It has no damage on the outside and is in perfect condition yet it will not charge, turn on or connect to iTunes. I left it in the draw after i upgraded my phone but now it will not work. Solutions please?
I would suggest taking it to the store where you bought it from or Apple service center and let them have a look at it. It may be that your phone needs a new battery because the old one was dead for too long. I remember something similar happened to my Ipad. Hope this helps.
The first thing to try would be leaving it on the charger for several hours. If it’s been sitting for a year, then the battery has been drained to a level where it can’t even display the low battery icon. Leave it plugged in all day if you can and see if you get any life.
