So i bought a iPhone 11 on Offer-up, said it was in restore mode and they didn’t have a pc to plug it in. Decided to buy it because it seemed like a simple fix, but turns out i’m wrong. I keep getting the same error, 4013, in iTunes. I Updated iTunes and my windows pc and tried every port on my pc that I could. I did some research and found out that i may possibly be a proximity sensor issue where some water gets into it, but im hoping that its now. If it is i have the tools and such to do it but where would i buy a different proximity sensor or would it just be a case of drying it out with a Q-Tip of some sort? Thank you for all the help! ~Joshua
I don’t think it will be the proximity sensor but you will have to rule it out as well as all the other parts including the battery and dock assembly. Disconnect all the flex cables except for the battery and dock connector and see if it will restore. We would usually put the logic board into a known good housing. That would rule out all parts and would confirm it is a logic board issue. Error 4013 is usually caused by a communication problem between the NAND and CPU, if it is not a parts problem it will be an expensive repair.
