I don’t know why this happened but I was just on my phone and it was working perfectly fine, then I pressed the home button like I always do and it just started rapidly clicking even though I only clicked it once. I did not have a screen replacement, I tried restarting my phone but it did nothing. It could be screws loose or something, but it was working perfectly fine all day until now. This is getting really annoying!! Please help
Has the phone been dropped recently? Drops can cause physical damage to the Home Button. You could open up your device to take a look around to see if there is any obvious issues, such as loose screws, torn flexes, incorrectly connected flexes etc. However, there is no way to “DIY repair” a damaged Home Button. There are some “replacement buttons” now that can offer the “click” functions but you will never be able to get TouchID again (except in some circumstances…). Most replacement Home Buttons just fill the hole so you have to tread carefully here. Apple can replace the Home Button, for the cost of a replacement screen.
