My PS3 slim was running as if it was superior to PS4 (that was a hyperbole). Once suddenly the HDMI output stopped working after 2 months of not playing. Then, I changed to an SD for some time and then got a new HDMI cable. It worked. After almost a year of well working, Suddenly the HDMI output stopped working when I was playing Minecraft. I tried using a new cable, but this time it didn’t work. I searched a lot of IFIXIT forums and all around google. Everyone said,“hold the power button till the second beep.” A guy also said that you should handshake,i.e. reset the video setting for a million times around (a hyperbole). I did try all of these but the problem didn’t get resolved. SD output’s rendering is very poor on my TV that if I see 10 building in HDMI assassin’s creed 1, I see only 3 in SD. How do I fix it? Should I consider visiting a Sony centre?
the only solution is buying a new one. I got a new one. Thanks to y’all who tried helping tho.
I just had the same problem you had, and the solution i found is this. Step 1: Unplug the PS3 power cable from the back of the console Step 2: Make sure the only cable currently plugged in to your PS3 is the HDMI cable Step 3: Unplug your TV power cord from the TV if possible, if not just unplug it from the wall Step 4: Unplug any splitters from their power sources as well Step 5: Leave your TV, PS3 and other devices unplugged for 30 minutes or so Step 6: Plug back in your TV power supply and turn it on Step 7: Plug back in any splitters you have Step 8: Plug back in your PS3 power supply, and make sure the TV is set to the proper input channel Step 9: Turn on your PS3 it should now work.

Sometimes your HDMI cable is just broken. the only answer is to get a new ps3 and transfer the data via ethernet cable
Same here, my ps3 can’t connect to my led tv with hdmi. But when i connect to my ps3 hdmi to vga monitor(using vga to hdmi) and it works. Any solution how can i play again on my led tv? :(
