Chosen Solution
I had to replace my iPhone 6 housing, so I decided to use a custom housing. I successfully to replaced it but today the speaker you would use to play music stopped working. Could there be an issue with he fled cable eventhough all of the other components on the cable still work or could it be the speaker itself.
Definitely check the connector first - be very careful with it because contacts are very fragile. Hard reset ( Home and Power button together) could help as well in case that one of the applications still “hold” that service
Sometimes custom housings have plastics covering the speaker holes which you can see at the bottom on the right of the charging port just grab a needle and poke one see if you get sound.
