Whenever I insert a disk, my ps4 fails to keep the disk spinning, and it consistently makes ejecting sounds (disks do not eject randomly, it just makes the sound). I’ve opened and revised the interior, but everything seems to be in place, including the rollers. Nothing is stained/ dirty, not even the laser. I’ve tried rebuilding the PS4s database and update through safe mode, but nothing works. I’ve attempt to place my PS4 in various positions, and it doesn’t work either, not even tapping around the area where the disk is. I need help.
Sounds like you have a problem with your disk drive laser. I would first try using Isopropyl (Rubbing) Alcohol and a cotton swab to clean the top of the laser. If this does not work, you’ll have to replace the disk drive laser or disk drive assembly.
