Chosen Solution
A little while ago I realised that the home button wasn’t working on my 3DS, so I decided to try and fix it myself. After taking it apart and attempting to fix it, the device only powers on for a few moments. The blue power LED shines but nothing else happens. After a few seconds the device makes an alarming noise and shuts down. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
It might be that it’s a software issue, in which you’d need to reinstall the 3DS’ OS. If not, maybe the home button short circuited. I’m not an expert on the topic, though, so more people might be able to give better responses.
