So i replace the screen everything was fine… and now for some reason the phone wont charge past 8% ive tried a new dock and multiple batteries and still a no go. He swears he has been using a Apple charger, but with customers sometimes you never know. Hoping this is fixable please and thank you.
It is possible you pried off or partially dislodged the filter on the TIGRIS_TO_BATTERY_SWI line. That line send the charge state of the battery (as well as other info) to the CPU. This is how the charge circuit determines when to charge or not. The filter is a small SMD component next to the battery connector on the logic board. It is the second one from the bottom (there are four in total). This requires a micro-soldering repair.
