When I put the charger on the controller, it doesn’t want to try until I put pressure on it

Charger port is worn out. A new charging port will need to be soldered onto the controller board. It is quite hard to a replacement charging port + solder one on or board so might have to get another controller: Xbox One S Controller (1708) Motherboard
