I spilled some water (about 2 tablespoons) on my MacBook Pro keyboard the other day and immediately shut it off after the screen blacked out. I then wiped it dry and let it sit upside down to dry the keyboard for 4 days. As today was the fourth day and I assumed it would be dry, I attempted turning it back on. It wouldn’t turn on so I charged it to fill battery and still nothing. I opened up the back of it and inspected it and i couldn’t detect any water damage. With high hopes, i tried shorting the power pads and also unplugging the battery pack from the logic board. Nothing has worked and the laptop still won’t turn on. The charger is charging it fine and is lighting up but nothing besides that. Can anyone help me and give me some tips or is it fried for good? Thanks!

It may be the second one you said or it’s just some water shorting out your keyboard. Since you seem to be familiar with power-on pads, try disconnecting from the logic board KB backlight and keyboard flat cables and superdrive too as it lays just under the keyboard and try again powering on without battery attached. If you succeed try reattaching parts one by one until you meet the one that needs replaced. In case you can’t get it started you probably have a faulty board which needs expert hands to repair it.
