Coolest fans not working and it overheating once in awhile
@stebb the very first thing you want to check is the fan itself. Connect a 12 Volt power source directly to the fan and see if the fan comes on. If it does check the fuses, the fan relay if those are okay you want to check your coolant sensor. Since you omitted the model, year and engine size we cannot assist you with specific details on where these parts are etc. Update (11/04/2017) The ECT (Engine Coolant temperature) sensor is located on the top of the engine near the thermostat.
