On Saturday night it rained heavily while I was out and I was unable to completely protect the iPod, so it got slightly wet. Since that point, the battery has drained seemingly at the speed of light. Getting a new battery is really a last resort, and I’ve tried restoring the system and checking online. Opening it up is my second to last resort. Are there any other solutions possible? Is this simply a short?
It is possible that you have a short circuited battery. you will have to take it apart to further investigate. I would most certainly start off with a new battery.
